Celeberate Christmas as something new, Christians urged

Christians are encouraged to celebrate Christmas as something new and that the birth of Jesus christ is to save the world.

The Deputy Rector, Omnium Sanctorum Chaplaincy Thinkers Corner Enugu, Reverend Father Henry Amuji gave the advice in a sermon during a Holy Mass to mark the Silver jubilee of Mr. Alex and Jane Chukwu as well as the dedication and baptism of the twins of Dr. and Mrs. Uchenna Ekwo who are members of the Chaplaincy.

Reverend Father Amuji urged the faithful to obey the word of God always, stressing that those that keep God’s command would inherit eternal life.

The priest noted with dismay that the activities of criminal elements in Nigeria had made travels and merriment during this year’s Christmas difficult.

He advised couples to have trust, respect and mutual understanding of one another to ensure the success of their relationship.

Reverend Father Amuji frowned at couples that respect wealth and physical features of their partners rather than have natural, mutual and Godly respects for each other.
