Global Entrepreneurship Week 2023 Kicks Off at Godfrey Okoye University Enugu

The highly anticipated Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) at Godfrey Okoye University Enugu is set to commence on Monday, November 13th, as announced by Mr. Christopher Uwakwe, the Director of the Directorate of Entrepreneurship at the institution.

This year’s theme for the event, as unveiled by Mr. Uwakwe, is “Innovation, Artificial Intelligence, and Networking for Sustainable Entrepreneurship.” The week-long program promises an array of exciting activities aimed at fostering entrepreneurship among students.

One of the highlights of the event is a dedicated workshop focusing on the utilization of Artificial Intelligence to promote Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This session is expected to provide valuable insights into harnessing AI for business growth.

Moreover, GEW will feature a captivating fireside chat session where aspiring student entrepreneurs will have the unique opportunity for one-on-one discussions with established entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship experts hailing from across the globe. This interactive session is anticipated to be an invaluable learning experience.

In addition to the AI workshop, another notable workshop will be conducted on the topic of innovation in businesses. The workshop will be facilitated by the Innovation and Start-up Unit of BMW, bringing expertise in innovative practices to the forefront.

The Global Entrepreneurship Week program is scheduled to take place at the Gouni Faculty of Law Hall, located at the Thinkers Corner campus in Enugu. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., promising a full day of engaging discussions and activities.

Reverend Father Professor Christian Anieke, the Vice Chancellor of Godfrey Okoye University, will be the Chief Host of the event, welcoming participants and esteemed guests. Meanwhile, Mr. Obi Uzor, the Commissioner for Transport in Enugu State, has been announced as the keynote speaker for this momentous occasion.
