Godfrey Okoye University Graduates Excel in UK with Scholarships

In a remarkable achievement, more than 100 graduates from Godfrey Okoye University in Enugu are currently pursuing their studies in the United Kingdom with prestigious scholarships. The announcement was made by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Reverend Father Professor Christian Anieke, during an address to the institution’s Parents Forum in Enugu.

Reverend Father Professor Anieke elaborated on the university’s strategic approach to preparing students for scholarships and job interviews through the introduction of a general ability test. He emphasized that the institution’s policy of “VC for one day” aimed to foster healthy competition among students, providing them with the necessary skills and mindset for future success.

However, not without a commitment to discipline, the Vice Chancellor revealed that three students had been expelled from the University for violating its rules and regulations. He underscored the importance of upholding the institution’s standards to maintain a conducive learning environment.

In his address, Reverend Father Professor Anieke called for collective cooperation from the Parents Forum, stressing the need for collaboration to enable university officials to effectively train a new generation of individuals poised to positively impact society.

The success of over 100 Godfrey Okoye University graduates securing scholarships in the UK stands as a testament to the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and the holistic development of its students. As they embark on their educational journeys abroad, these scholars are expected to bring back valuable experiences and contribute to the positive transformation of their communities.
