
GOUNI Inter-Faculty Competition Prepares Students for Global Excellence
The Vice Chancellor of Godfrey Okoye University, Rev. Fr. Prof. Christian Anieke, has described the university’s inter-faculty competition as a platform designed to groom students for future national and international contests.
Represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Administration, Prof. Sergius Udeh, the Vice Chancellor made the remark at the Festival of Competition held at the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Convocation Arena as part of the activities marking the university’s 13th Convocation.
He noted that the programme is tailored to sharpen students’ skills across several areas of competition.
The Vice Chancellor commended the Directorate of Competition for its remarkable performances both nationally and internationally and urged students to take advantage of the directorate’s opportunities.
In her remarks, the Director of Competition, Mrs. Uchanta Chukwu, highlighted the resilience, challenges, and successes that have defined the directorate’s journey, praising the Vice Chancellor for providing strong moral, spiritual, and financial support.
The event featured inter-faculty debate, puzzle challenge, public speaking, music contest, and other competitions.
