INEC worries over insecurity in Imo and Kogi

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, is worried about the growing level of violence and insecurity in Imo and Kogi States, describing it as unacceptable, unnecessary, and worrisome  and capable of scaring potential voters.

The INEC National Commissioner and member of the Information and Voter Education Committee, IVEC, Mallam Mohammed Kudu Haruna, raised the alarm at a one-day workshop organized for media executives in Owerri.

Haruna said the commission has gone so far with the preparations for the off-cycle elections in Imo, Kogi and Bayelsa States.

Godfrey Okoye University Radio 106.9 FM launched in 2014 as a campus radio station and began operation on the 21st of October, 2015 through the effort of our formidable Vice Chancellor, Rev. Fr.
