NYSC members gets pay rise in Taraba
The Government of Taraba State has announced its decision to pay a one-time N50,000 medical allowance, a N25,000 accommodation allowance per term, and a monthly N10,000 to members of the National Youth Service Corps in the state.
The Taraba State Commissioner for Information and Reorientation, Zainab Usman, who made this known in a statement, explained that the N50,000 medical allowance would be paid to NYSC members posted to schools.
According to her, the governor also approved N25,000 as an accommodation allowance per term and N10,000 as monthly support from the state government.
She said the governor gave the approval due to the high increase in school enrollment following the government’s declaration of free basic education, uniforms, and other learning materials.
