Students Advised to Engage in Positive Activities to Enhance University’s Image

-Vice Chancellor Urges Godfrey Okoye University Students to Showcase Intelligence through Competitions

In a recent address to students and staff of Godfrey Okoye University Enugu and its group of institutions, the Vice-Chancellor, Reverend Father Professor Christian Anieke, urged students to actively participate in positive activities aimed at projecting the university’s image.

Emphasizing the importance of students’ involvement in activities that would showcase their intelligence, Reverend Father Professor Anieke encouraged them to engage in competitions and events. He highlighted the significance of such endeavors in not only enhancing the students’ personal development but also in elevating the reputation of the university.

Addressing the issue of daily prayers, the Vice-Chancellor announced a new directive wherein morning and afternoon prayers would be limited to thirty minutes each. He stressed the need for students to utilize the additional time for meals and refreshment, promoting a balanced approach to their daily routine.

Furthermore, Reverend Father Professor Anieke issued a stern warning against engaging in negative behaviors. He made it clear that the university management would take decisive action against any student found involved in misconduct or disruptive activities.

The Vice-Chancellor’s address underscores the university’s commitment to fostering a conducive environment for academic excellence and personal growth, while also maintaining discipline and upholding its standards of conduct.

Godfrey Okoye University Radio 106.9 FM launched in 2014 as a campus radio station and began operation on the 21st of October, 2015 through the effort of our formidable Vice Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Dr. Christian Anieke supported by the Senate of the University to serve as a broadcast medium to inform, educate, entertain and enlighten the host community and the general public.
