Three Arrested for Vandalizing Power Cables in Enugu

Three persons have been arrested in Enugu State for allegedly vandalizing power cables.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Daniel Ndukwe, said police operatives recovered several lengths of vandalized high-voltage aluminum cables concealed with cassava crop leaves, a large cable cutter, two pairs of rubber gloves, a black bag containing clothes, and the suspects’ operational white-coloured minibus with registration number ENU 450 XK.

According to the police, the suspects confessed to vandalizing the cables from electric poles along Ukete Road in Oduma community, Aninri Local Government Area, and were transporting them to the New Artisan Market, Enugu, for sale.
