
US President appoints two Nigerians on council
The President of the United States, Joe Biden, is said to have appointed two Nigerians, Osagie Imasogie and Chineye Ogwumike, to the 12-member advisory council on African Diaspora Engagement in the US.
According to a statement by the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM’s Head of Media and Public Relations, Abdur-Rahman Balogun the ,Chairman/CEO, ) of the commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, described the nomination of the two Nigerians into the advisory council as a welcome development, adding that their recognition and appointment is a motivation for other Nigerians and Africans in general.
