Vice Chancellor Lauds Graduating Students of Godfrey Okoye University Secondary School
The Vice Chancellor of Godfrey Okoye University, Rev. Fr. Prof. Christian Anieke, has praised the 2023/2024 graduating class of Godfrey Okoye University Secondary School as one of the finest cohorts, recognized for their knowledge and exemplary character.
In his homily during a thanksgiving Holy Mass at the Justice Cordelia Chukwura Convocation Arena, Thinkers Corner, Enugu, Prof. Anieke commended the students for their commendable behavior and academic excellence. He highlighted that their achievements stood out despite a nationwide trend of poor performance in both the SSCE and JAMB examinations.
Rev. Fr. Prof. Anieke congratulated the graduates and their parents, acknowledging the financial sacrifices and efforts made. He also praised the School Administrator, Rev. Fr. Henry Amuju, the teachers, and all who contributed to the students’ education, emphasizing that their dedication had helped shape future leaders.
The Vice Chancellor underscored the importance of gratitude to God and parents, noting that such gratitude opens doors to further blessings and graces. He urged the 79 graduating students to consistently express thanks to God and their parents or guardians for their accomplishments and as they look forward to future successes.
The event was graced by several dignitaries, including the Registrar, Dr. N.S. Eneh; the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Administration, Prof. Gozie Ogbodo; the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Academics, Rev. Sister Marysylvia Nwanchukwu; and the Bursar, Prof. Modester Eguiyi, among other senior university officials.
